Tools For Hope is partnering with Baylor University to build and donate BUVs to subsistence farming communities in Rwanda. Baylor BUV is a humanitarian organization sponsored by Baylor University in Waco, Texas. The organization is comprised of undergraduate engineering students seeking to apply classroom knowledge and technical skills in pursuit of mission activity.
What’s a BUV?
Basic Utility Vehicles (BUVs) provide affordable transportation for rural, underdeveloped countries.
The BUV is a simple, durable, light-weight, and low-cost vehicle designed for rugged landscapes and heavy payloads to facilitate communal transportation, economic growth, and hope for the future.
Baylor BUV’s mission is to engage students in a mission-oriented project and to provide its members hands-on engineering experience within a challenging competition program.
